Practice makes progress.
Part 1 will provide a comprehensive overview of the exam: topics, tactics, and techniques. Part 1 will not only review content but also particular patterns that characterize each section. After 8 weeks of instruction, the exam will be thoroughly de-mystified; students will have learned powerful approaches to tackle the exam front-to-back.
However, as any athlete can tell you, there’s a difference between learning a new move in training and actually executing it in a big game. If pressed, they’ll all point to the same critical link between the two environments: practice. Part 2 will provide hands-on coaching to help students internalize and polish the strategies picked up in the first half, guiding students through a high volume of focused practice. In the 5 weeks of part 2, students will dive further into the nuances of every question type, developing even greater familiarity and confidence on the exam.
Please note that Part 2 will only be available to students who have completed Part 1.
International School of Milan (ACT)
With COVID-19 still gripping the world, education looks different than it has before. However, that doesn’t mean that everything has changed; a strong ACT score can still have a serious impact on university admission. Luckily, the test itself hasn’t changed at all – and the advantage of test prep remains as strong as ever. As a small company with prior experience tutoring online, Higher Ground Learning was well-poised to embrace a suddenly virtual world. Over the last year, we’ve delivered effective, engaging online courses to help students prepare for the ACT.
We understand that every school – and student – has different needs, so we work hard to build custom-tailored classes that maximize benefits for individual schools.

Full 2-part course*

Attendance Requirements
Students will be expected to attend each online lesson with their video turned on. As such, students will need to ensure a stable high-speed internet connection. Only valid medical conditions will be accepted as an excuse for missed lessons. In the event of an excused absence, students will be provided a recording of the missed lesson to help keep pace. There will be no refunds given on the basis of a student’s poor internet connection.
Enrollment Caps and Procedures
Unless stated otherwise, course enrollments will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. When a course reaches maximum class size, subsequent enrollments will be added to a waitlist. In the event of a large course requiring multiple instructors (>8 students), students will be grouped according to initial diagnostic scores.
This course requires a minimum of 3 students enrolled in order to run. If the course fails to meet minimum enrollment by the registration deadline, the course will necessarily be rescheduled or cancelled as appropriate. In the event of a cancellation or postponement, the course fee will be transferred to the next course at this school, or refunded in full upon request.
SAT Exam Registration
Enrollment in this prep course DOES NOT register your student for the SAT Exam. Parents/Guardians are responsible for enrolling their student(s). Visit the College Board website for upcoming test dates and registration information. Registration for the test is on a first come first serve basis, so please register early to be guaranteed a seat.
Cancelled Enrollment Policy
Full refunds are available for courses purchased from highergroundprep.com at any point up to 10 days before the course start date. You may “return” your course registration for a full refund or exchange it for another course of equal value. All other returns or refunds for course registrations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Refunds for online tutoring packages will be evaluated separately from course enrollments. There will be no refunds for online tutoring packages issued more than 10 days after the final day of classes. Cancellations of 1-on-1 lessons with fewer than 24 hours notice forfeit 30 minutes of tutoring time.
